February 22^nd is almost here, and our team couldn’t be more excited! Why? Well, because it’s National Margarita Day! Even though every day is a margarita day here at La Santa, we hope you stop searching “bars near me” and come to celebrate with us! If you’re planning on staying in for the night, here’s a look at three ways to celebrate the day from the comfort of your home.

Create a margarita bar

One sure way to get a group of friends over on a Saturday night is to offer up a margarita bar. By doing so, you’ll not only have a variety of flavors sure to fit every taste preference, but you’ll have extra time to enjoy your guests!

Start by creating the base for a few different flavors of margaritas. For example, classic, strawberry, and mango are some of the most popular, but certainly not the only options! Next, slice your limes and other fruit you want to incorporate. Be sure to have salt and sugar available to rim glasses as well. Finish by placing a selection of tequila for your guests to choose from. Allowing them to pour their drink puts the potency in their hands!

Along with the margarita bar, spice your gathering up a bit by adding a theme. One of our favorites is a Mexican Luau during the dead of winter here in New England. Begin by turning your home into a tropical paradise with decorations and brightly colored themed serving ware. Add elements of tropical flowers and playlists to enhance the tone of your environment further. Lastly, you’ll want to invite your guests to participate by wearing clothing in line with your chosen theme. A luau is just one fun idea, but let your creative juices flow and create a theme that you’ll know your guests will enjoy!

Perhaps you don’t feel like going all out – hence the reason you’re staying in! That’s okay! You can still host a group of friends or family with ease while celebrating the day. Here are a few ideas that are sure to bring smiles to your gathering:
